The LORD is my shepherd. I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures.
He leads me beside still waters.
Psalm 23:1-2
With all the distressing, difficulty, and discouraging news swirling around the world these days, I am so grateful that the LORD stands ready to shepherd us through the storm.
He knows where the most fertile, green grass in His field is located. He is able to guide us straight to deep, calm waters needed to still our souls and quench our thirst.
I’ve found that there’s nothing like His Scripture to nourish my soul- especially when I’m bone-weary sick of bad news.
Are you longing for a rest stop beside still waters?
This may help: Take a few moments and read all of Psalm 23. Its six little power packed verses may remind you of the strength and provision of our Good Shepherd. . . and give you exactly what you need to quiet your soul today.
Jesus offers rest. Sometimes we just have to stop long enough to receive it.
